The HOPE Center of Edmond was organized in April, 1984 to meet a community need for a central agency to provide social services. The Center was developed by the Edmond Ministerial Alliance, an inter-denominational council of churches, with volunteers and a grant from the Edmond Women’s Club.
The purpose of the HOPE Center is to meet the basic needs of members of the Edmond community by providing food, clothing, household items and financial assistance for rent and utilities. In 2008, HOPE Center provided assistance to more than 18,000 people. This included rent, food, prescriptions, transportation, utility payments, clothing and household items.
In this time of Holiday Cheer, some people need a helping hand. If you need help, or you want to donate to help others, please visit the HOPE Center website for more information.
