Edmond's Citylink

  • Wednesday, June 30, 2010
  • Edmond's Citylink bus system will have been in service for one year tomorrow, Thursday, July 1st. As you hopefully know, this city-owned bus service is free to ride.

Citylink runs a regular route that includes UCO, stops in front of Bryant Grove Apartments, and also offers curb-to-curb service for residents with disabilities. They are picked up at their home and taken to appointments within city limits. Read more at this link.

    Arcadia Lake

  • Tuesday, June 29, 2010
  • The water level is down from flood stage, but Arcadia Lake remains closed. It's expected to reopen as soon as the water level is down to normal, debris is removed from the parks and conditions are safe for visitors.

Following the flood of two years ago, as the water level went down the lake opened in stages, and that may be what happens this year. If the parks are open for the July 4th holiday, five days from today, they may not be 100 percent clean. For the full story, see this news article.

    Local Flooding

  • Monday, June 14, 2010
  • UPDATE: City prepares to assess flood damage. "Potentially 'historic flooding' caught metro area motorists off-guard during Monday morning’s commute and Edmond first responders made several high-water rescues." See the Edmond Sun for the full story, including advice to stay off the roads.

Over ten inches of rain in one day is a very unusual occurrence for Edmond. It's a good idea to STAY HOME if you don't have to go out. You can track weather conditions at our Edmond local weather and forecast page.
